⌚Apple Adds Live Rewind and Siri Recap to Apple Watch in watchOS 27.3 Beta
Your Apple Watch can now recap your day for you
TL;DR
Apple's watchOS 27.3 developer beta adds Live Rewind and Siri Recap to Series 12 and Ultra 4. Both are opt-in, need a mic calibration, and are still rough in noisy rooms. Test them on a quiet day before trusting the summaries.
Apple's watchOS 27.3 beta quietly adds Live Rewind and Siri Recap to the Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4. Both features are off by default. You have to opt in through the Watch app on your iPhone, and Live Rewind needs an initial microphone calibration with the phone before it works. Why should developers care? Mostly because this is a beta built for testing, and you're the tester. Siri Recap gives you schedule controls, so you can limit it to weekday meetings, say 1PM to 4PM at the office. Apple has also published support documentation explaining its approach to these features, which is more than most ambient-AI launches give you. The catch: Live Rewind has only been shown to work in quiet environments. Siri accurately captured an attempt to get a cat to roll over, but it may mishear a word or two. Recap hasn't been thoroughly tested across scenarios, and background noise or gossip could throw it off. The other Audio Intelligence features in this beta have been out for a few weeks, so they're the safer bet to test first. Worth watching: this is a developer beta, so the behavior and the settings can change before public release.

Key Points
Live Rewind and Siri Recap are off by default and must be enabled through the iPhone's Watch app on Series 12 and Ultra 4 hardware.
