🤖Matt Husk Trolls OpenAI, Anthropic, and xAI Into Asking for Collabs

AI labs are now paying creators to find their bugs

TL;DR

Creator Matt Husk, with 2 million followers across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, has drawn collaboration requests from OpenAI, Anthropic, and xAI. His viral videos expose real weaknesses in chatbots. OpenAI even offered early patch access for a timer bug if he shared his account.

OpenAI, Anthropic, and xAI all want to work with Matt Husk. The guy makes money poking holes in their chatbots, and now the labs are knocking on his door. Why should you care? Because the stuff Husk tests is the stuff AI labs pitch as everyday tooling. OpenAI announced its model scored "very highly" on a benchmark for helping people with personal life tasks, yet Husk showed it can't set an accurate timer. That timer bug is a "known issue" that could stay unfixed for another year. If you're shipping agents that handle scheduling or negotiation, that gap matters more than any leaderboard. The numbers: Husk has about 2 million followers combined. He started trolling chatbots roughly a year ago and has brand deals with CeraVe and Ninja. In one test he asked AI to negotiate a $10,000 Craigslist bread listing down to $5, and the model settled at $400. OpenAI reportedly emailed him earlier and offered early access to a timer patch in exchange for sharing his account. None of the three labs have commented.
