Swarm is an experimental, educational framework from OpenAI that explores ergonomic, lightweight multi-agent orchestration. It focuses on making agent coordination and execution lightweight, highly controllable, and easily testable through two primitive abstractions: Agents and handoffs. Swarm is entirely powered by the Chat Completions API and is stateless between calls. It is now replaced by the OpenAI Agents SDK for production use.
