🏠Amazon Launches Echo Show 16 at $500 With Wide-Angle 13MP Camera

Your kitchen wall just got a smarter family calendar

Amazon just shipped the Echo Show 16, and it's the best Alexa device the company has made. Think always-on family calendar, smart home hub, and a camera that finally sees the whole room. Base price is $500, going to $570 depending on the display. If you're building smart home stuff, this one matters. The Echo Show 16 is basically a wall-mounted control panel with color-coded schedules, to-do lists, and meal planning. The camera upgrade is the real hook: Visual ID range jumps from 8 feet to 17 feet, and night vision means you can check on the house after dark without a separate cam. The specs: 10% more viewing area than the Echo Show 15, with a frame almost 40% thinner. The 13-megapixel lens has the widest field of view of any Echo Show to date. Right now a $100 coupon brings the price to $400, which is the number to watch if you're on the fence. The catch? It doesn't keep lists permanently on screen. You'll need to wake it or rely on the calendar mode, so check your sightlines before you buy.
