🤖Anthropic Says Over Half of $100K Customers Now Use Claude Plus Apps

Anthropic's customers are going all in on its ecosystem

TL;DR

Anthropic says over half of its 11,900 customers spending $100K or more now use Claude and a first-party app together. Net revenue retention hit about 900%. If you build on Claude, expect pricing and product bundling to tighten around that ecosystem.

Anthropic is betting its growth on an ecosystem, not a single model. Over 50% of customers spending at least $100,000 a year now use both Claude and a first-party app, up from 30% at the end of last year. That's a fast shift, and the company is openly pushing it. If you're building on Claude, this is the signal to watch. Anthropic is pitching Claude as a moving target, not a static product, and it's investing in Applied AI teams plus a venture with Blackstone to embed forward deployed engineers inside businesses. Expect more opinionated bundles and tighter integration, which means more lock-in and fewer clean seams to swap out. The numbers are big. As of September 30, Anthropic had over 11,900 customers above $100K annually, 1,900-plus above $1 million, and about 250 above $10 million. Net revenue retention sat around 900% at the end of Q3. Revenue reached $16.3 billion in the first half of 2026, versus $1.2 billion a year earlier. The catch: customer concentration. Anthropic flags that losing or cutting back one or more of its largest customers could hurt the business. Its cloud partners may also favor their own products or rivals they've invested in, so watch how those distribution deals play out.
